I don't think Botox is a bad thing, but I do think Jewel had too many injections of something! She doesn't look natural- Her mouth curls up in most of her recent pics/videos. I'm wondering if she had plastic surgery around her chin/mouth area?

Botox will do all that to ya, but I don't think it's bad work.

Just good old-fashioned aging will curl lips

I think she hangs out with the wrong people again... I bet Dolly has something to do with it! Man I love dolly, but boy does she look plastic ugly...

I can't understand the point she's trying to convey with:

"What felt good about that is I didn't have so much botox that my face didn't show expression, and I ... I felt ... It was solid ... I felt good about that."

I think she's saying she's only had a little?  Or maybe she means she's had none?  Damn double negatives... I hardly ever know what the person's trying to say - do they mean for the two negatives to cancel out or did a wire cross in their brain somewhere?  Both always seem plausible.

EDIT: the punctuation in that meme is atrocious.  Sorry about that.  Sentiment stands, though.

I want botox!

I just want botox in my lips. I'm not very pout-y.

But Jewel doesn't have this problem. I do NOT think she needs it, no matter what. She can grow older gracefully and still look awesome doing it. Natural, unglammed Jewel is my favourite.

Quote
Being a mom and balancing working is a difficult chord to strike - I know so many moms struggle with this. "mom guilt" seems to be ever prevalent for those who work and those who don't .... It seems as moms we always wonder how we are doing, -are we doing enough? can we do better? I have grown to have such awe for the amazing moms and women out there who have the heart to care not only for their families and their duties outside the home, but to learn also to care for themselves.
My work weeks have been long lately- lots of phone calls - and so I've been really making a point of being present in the mornings and long evenings. No calls and no texts. And I have especially been enjoying my weekends with my son. Going off on a trip to have a special adventure of quality and uninterrupted mommy son time.
Life is ever changing. our own needs, our families needs, and our work needs are always in flux. There is no static point of having figured out the perfect rhythm or recipe. All we can do is remain open and sensitive to the needs of our children and make sure we can listen as their tune constantly changes, and answer in a way the brings harmony ... And be forgiving of ourselves as we strive to balance and juggle with all the grace we can.
I salute all you moms and dads out there who are in the mix every day- being pulled in every direction, because your hearts are so full of love that you use your will to bend your life and self into shape of true love. 💕
