Song I've been listening to a lot lately: Again and Again.

God I love this song. Sometimes I forget how much. Hadn't listened to it for a while. Was one of my first Jewel songs because the first whole album I had was the iTunes Originals one (weird, I know). It's the first song on there and I knew right away that I was going to fall in love with Jewel. Her voice is beautiful on this song, really sweet lyrics, great music... what a great track!

Pretty sure I just spotted a picture of Jewel on the daughter's wall in The Sopranos. Check the bottom right...

She also had a big poster of Tori Amos on her wall.

I think she only shared lyrics for that song back in 2009...never played it that I'm aware of.

This is frustrating--my usual ways of finding things aren't working--that particular blog post isn't on Archive.org either, but you can see the intro to the post on this Archive.org page:

The particular blog posts in which she was sharing lyrics are missing from the current archives on her own website (they should be here, but aren't). It looks like a lot of her blog is wrong (dates mixed up and posts missing). Somebody goofed during the transition to her new site I guess?

Google's cache doesn't work either...I knew I should have been mirroring or downloading her blog posts so they wouldn't get lost.

To my eyes, Goodbye Alice in Wonderland is the most beautiful album cover I've ever seen. That's SUCH a pretty picture of Jewel. The pose, the hair, the smile, she seems so peaceful... just gotta say I love that cover.

And yeah, there's a little bit of cleavage to wash it all down.

I was browsing the Wikipedia and found out about the soundtrack version of 'Stay Here Forever'. How could I not notice this before? It's so great without the fiddle!

Discovered a singer/singwroter called Haley Klinkhammer when I was out and about earlier, and quite liked her song 'Once Upon a Time'. Was scrolling through her Twitter feed, and one of the first things I found was this recent cover of You Were Meant For Me!

Doesn't quite have the same charm and playfulness of Jewel's original, but the vocals are really clean, and it's a pretty solid performance. Nice to hear a different take on it after all these years too. What does everyone think?

I think it's a great cover. The video is lovely. I like how the lyrics are used in it. It's sad that there are lots of music videos that have no connection to the lyrics of a song
