The story is not complete, there is more, not about this Jewel parcel, but about international parcels. Our family send a Sinterklaas-gift with typical dutch food and silver tea-sppons to a family in Grand Rapids
(our youngest son went their for a student-exchange, it was an extra gift to thank them for the wonderful time he had over there)
The Sinterklaas festivity is on 5 December so we send it in time (luckily insured) on the 4th of December  track and trace said the first attempt to deliver was unsuccesfull, nobody home. after that there was no movement with the parcel whatsoever.

I contacted Dutch PostNL, they had to do an official search, it could take up to 30 days. 5 minutes later a new message, our parcel is in Ireland, that is a mistake but it will be shipped automatically to the US ...I asked them: why does track and say there was a delivery attempt? And what do you mean by automatically, because the parcel is staying where it is for 5 days already... they don't know...

Maybe it will still arrive, but way to late, and what shape will it be in? maybe we get our money back (100 euros + 60 euros shipping costs) but that doesn't bring us anything, all the pleasure of giving those people a nice surprice has gone now.

The women of Customer service said I had bad luck, their delivery performance is 99%. I said: if one parcel has gone worng I could live with being that 1%...but 3 out of 3...I don't believe it's 99%, If it is, then I should play the lottery: the chance I win is even bigger than 3 shipments in a row gone wrong

I think so to    And then Jewel has to come over here and sign it   :woohoo:
This  :grandpa: doesn't want to be oldfashioned and even shops on the internet, he just isn't rewarded for it.

The parcel to the US I pity the most, We were really thankfull to this wonderful family that gave our son such a good time in the States. Maybe we find another appropriate way later.

Javo, by the gods!  It sounds like it would be faster if you had Sinterklaas do your shipping.  Yeesh, what a nightmare.

At work we ship over 100.000 parcels a year, and I'm the contact person between our distribution centre and the parcel delivery companies. The lukc I have at this moment I've never seen before. At work I have a little bit more influence because we are a big customer, in private I totally haven't (we don't work with the same company's)

In private I ship a view parcels a year and am receiving about 40 parcels a year, in the last 10 yeaars I think it went wrong once, these last months are unbelievable. But I know things turn around again and I will remain receiving and sending parcels.

It is kind of frustrating because I know a little bit more then most people about processes from big delivery companies, I can explain a lot of times where things go wrong and people tell me I'm right, but that doesn't mean it helps anything with getting a solution. It's also dissapointing that the Jewelstore keeps trying to ship it with USPS over and over again, I already warned them, but of course they didn't listen.

By the way, the fed-ex parcel still has no scan of being shipped yet, something mmust have gone wrong again... Luckily I'm a pitbull on a mission I won't let loose until I've got my stuff over here. but it feels like  :deadhorse:

I actually got a random "order update" email a couple days ago that a package was shipped, but I hadn't bought anything. Well, I DID buy something around Black Friday, but I had already gotten my package before this new shipping email. I figure it's some kind of bug because there's nothing to track from the USPS number they gave me. I dunno. It's weird. Maybe that's the deal with this email you got? :shrug2:

So, I feel like I need to give an update on this. I got a package today which I initially thought would be from my Secret Santa. I looked at the address. BubbleUp? Jewel's store? I was getting ready to open it when mom asked who it was from and I said curiously, the Jewel store, but I didn't order anything. Suddenly she grabbed it from me. I guess she used my account to order it without realizing it which explains the mysterious shipping email I got. I kinda, sorta know what my Christmas present is now, I guess!

Today the parcel with fed-ex has its first scan, for the first time in a week the store finally answered a mail from me as well. They said they were gonna ask Fed-ex if there was any problem....to much coincedence if you ask me. Parcel was not shipped before or at least not picked up. But I'm glad it's seems to be on it's way now.

The way I see it the Jewel Store is my Secret santa this year, just like some of you I'm really curious what and if I gonna get something right before christmas

Oh wait, no scan yet, I looked wrong at parcel in my history. Well at least they are looking into it.

Slowly I'm getting used to it.
I Bought a LP from PUTP at a record store over here just to be sure to have at least one. Not many stores who have it though. But I still want this one of course as well as the Greatest hits.

Patience is good quality...I don't really have but exercise makes perfect.

I'm soooooo, not patient.

I saw some other people on Twitter said there was a mix up with the cups also, and that the card was crushed.  That sucks, too.

There were pictures and reference to finishing a studio and work area in Nashville as part of Jewels property there.

My impression was Jewel is setting up more of her operation in Nashville.

The Jewel Store operations in Texas were setup there while Jewel lived in Stephenville, TX.

Who can we ask??? Where does Alan live & work??

Alan lives in New England. But honestly I don't think it matters where Jewel or her management live/work because BubbleUp itself is based in Texas. The company doesn't seem to have anything to do with Jewel directly.

Yeah, the "mugs" are actually pretty plain and cheap. Just white tin cups that should really cost more like $10 at the most, not $20. I was really hoping they'd be ceramic like the older "consoled a cup of coffee..." mugs they sold a while back. These new mugs just aren't worth it.

Aww... that's too bad Tracy. I feel bad for those who ordered them.... glad I didn't waste my time and money tho. I STILL want that ceramic mug... but even if they still sold it, for me living outside the US the shipping costs are brutal. Maybe I should check out e-bay or sumpin.

That was my take on it, as well.

I feel bad for the people who did order and are disappointed.  I'm not faulting Jewel, but that store...

I'd like a mug.  2, actually.  One to use and one to hoard away in my collection.  I won't drink out of a tin one.  Especially, morning coffee  :yuck:  C'mon.  Some things are sacred.

It'd be a good camping cup; although, it's a bit steep in price for that.
