Well, at least they updated the pic on the store. You can't really tell that it says "but it didn't"

Man, how crappy to compare that pic to this. I really don't get it.

I'm not blaming Jewel really either, but she is responsible for who she brings her bussines to, so in a way she is.

Wow.  That first cup, I guess, the actual cup - what a terrible paint job.  That's really disappointing.  I wonder if she even knows or just lets the store be managed.   :shrug2:

Thanks, for the heads up, Tracy.

Maybe it's supposed to look.... 'rustic'?

Who am I kidding... it looks cheap as hell. There's $20 I won't be spending...

Ha, just seen the photo of the mug on Jewel's site!

 :D

Not the best effort, is it! Even the coating around the rim seems really uneven. Nice idea, but still...

Nope, not even a scan with track and trace, 5 emails later the store responded, They have asked Fed-ex, but they are to busy with christmas so they don't receive answers at the moment.
I asked them for the pick-up number, because Fed-ex Netherlands asked me to ( I want to start an investigation from my side as well) but I didn't get any response on it. I think it will be 2016 at the earliest.

I think will ask the store to send a new parcel but I don't think they will until after they received answers from Fed-ex.
My guess it was never send and it is a mistake from the jewelstore, but until they know that themselves for sure I don't think anything will happen

OMG!  :(

I can't believe it's taking this freaking long.  I would understand if you lived in Somolia or something, but you're in the proper western world.  wtf.

I know, but right now I think a few weeks more or less don't really matter anymore. I just need to have a long breathe and keep pushing them. No problem for me.

I got a call from Fed-ex. They tried to deliver last thursday, but there didn't live a person with my name on the adress...
I was surprised because:
- track and trace said it still wasn't picked up yet in the US
- I do live at my own adress

So I asked them a few things, it seems they send a new parcel (new track and trace) and with a wrong adress (again!) now they put on house number 17 instead of 71. But luckily fed-ex called me and they rescheduled for tomorrow and of the morning. I will make sure I'm home!

The Jewel store mailed me a few hours later and said they send a new parcel last Tuesday. I had contact with them on Wednessday, but they didn't tell me that. I told them the story above and sai I was really dissapointed that after so many things had gone wrong they were not more carefull with arranging this last parcel, so many mistakes and then switching a housenumber.

I really think they will deliver tomorrow, now I hope they send both LP's, that is the one thing I'm afraid of (or that there is damage) but I'll just have to wait 13-16 more hours and then I'll know.

My parcel arrived!
So I'm pretty happy.

Accept for the corners of my record-sleeves, they are not in really good shape due transport. I think I have to live with it, but for a record collector as myself this is really a shame, the marketvalue of these records is only half of normal worth by this. Not that I'm going to sell them ever, but still a minor dissapointment.

 FINALLY! Better late than never, right Javo! Sorry the record-sleeves aren't in great shape. I would imagine this very well could be the last time you order from the store, huh?
Live and learn I suppose.

At least it arrived. :(

Mine wasn't terribly dinged up, but lots of other people had similar issues.  They weren't packaged right, that's for sure. This is why I'm a UPS girl all the way.  You take your stuff to them and they package it up real tight and secure - no issues.

I think you can iron it like a shirt with a piece of parchment paper on top, but don't quote me on that one.  I knew a lady who ironed her newspaper that way before reading it.  It was p fascinating, honestly, and it did make reading the paper much more pleasant.

FINALLY!  Yay, Javo.  Don't feel bad, I was tracking a package coming from west coast to easat coast via Fed Ex, and tey sent me a update yesterday that said it would be delivered today, the 30th.     It's the 29th.  I use UPS as often as possible.

I had the same issues with the corners on my mine.  It was rattling around in the box with no padding.  Disappointiing for a vinyl collector...and probably why I haven't played it yet.

Normally, that would totally work, but it often depends on the quality of paper.  I wouldn't try it on my newer vinyl sleeves.  I had a friend try it on a newer album, and the creases came out but it left a white line due to paint damage as well.  They don't print things with the same inks they used to.  Another jackasss friend left an iron on a cover and the damn thing caught on fire  :rofl2:
So yeah, sound advice.  It would work.  It really depends on which will freak you out more.  Dented corners or white lines.  I stuck with the dented corners. :shrug2:

Something stranger even happened, this afternoon Dutch Post (Postnl) delivered a parcel as well. What is most strange is that it had a Fed-ex-label on it, probaply why I did not have to sign for it. I was lucky I talked with my mailman about htese parcels, that's why he came to me instead of sending it back

This parcel had also the same wrong house number on it. What is a strange thing, because the little order-paper inside the parcel has the right housenumber.

I hear you guys thinking: that's nice now he's got 2 of both records... yes that's true but this parcel was in even worse state... 2 holes in it...the sleeve's look terrible, even the inside booklets. I've tried one of the 4 records and it plays, but it isn't totally flat anymore. tomorrow I'll try the other ones.

So I decided to keep those for playing and to keep the other ones as new as possible. I will inform the store about this and if they want these back they can let it pick-up (I doubt if they want that considering the state they are in). But I will inform them after their answer on the complaint of the first parcel, if they refuse to answer I'm not sure I will inform them.

Wow, Javo.  It's a good thing you let them know and that they did send out multiple copies that arrived.  For the amount of time you waited and the condition they arrived in, you deserve 2 sets.  Sheesh.

I'd go through the records pick out which ones play and sound best and try to mix and match for the best possible combination.  Damn

after more than a month the parcel to the US I told about was received by the family in Grand Rapids, what a crazy parcel-week, just a month late, but it was received and they the people were happy with it.

Next time I fly to the US myself, it will cost a littlebit more monewise, but almost no extra time energy and also no extra time.
