Possible questions for the charity Q and A...
« on: September 29, 2020, 05:30:43 PM »
This guy was asking how many people were really going to get a question answered,  and my answer was that only a handful will likely get a chance and those that are too generic or too personal will get tossed.

Now I'm thinking about what a good question will be. I watch way too much horserace gotcha journalism to think about anything other than asking about inconsistencies in some stories, so maybe we can come up with better ones together.

Or maybe the thread will die.

I've come up with, "Poltz's influence in many of your earlier songs is clear on many early songs from the POY era.  Are there any early lessons from that partnership that have persisted through your whole career?"

Great question! I used to have some that I really wanted answered, but I can't remember them anymore. I'll have to think on this!

Ah, it's the Q and A at that show. Let's keep our fingers crossed then.

Alright, y'all.  I requested 501 Beauty Queen for the song and for the question,  I asked "when will you perform 501 Beauty Queen again."

Email said that whatever song has the most requests will be performed, so I'm hoping that counts as two requests as filler fans will be in there to negate their choice with YWMFM or something. I hope.

Here's what I asked

In older interviews you used to talk about melodies in terms of colors and also in places your tongue would touch your mouth (?). Do you still experience melodies in this way when writing melodies? (Filler question: it's been amazing to watch Kase grow over the last several years. If you could go back in time, what is something you would go back and tell yourself as a new Mom?)

I requested afraid it's too late and 501 beauty queen

I didn't get the email (officially). But Jennifer sent me the link on Messenger while she looked into it and the form said "Song requests" so I took it as for multiple instead of a song request
I'm not normally a pedant, but made an exception to try and sneak in a second song.

It was great! I actually loved seeing/hearing her sing Painters. That song always makes me teary and this was no exception.

She and Poltz sang Old Lovers House - another favourite of mine.

She didn't answer too many questions.. I was hoping for more in-depth questions with in-depth answers.

All in all - worth the price of admission fo sho.
