New Album Title “Freewheeling Woman”

I'm starting to think that the promotional version that was written up in Riff Magazine may be a second pressing? One that has the bonus track and Train's version instead of the solo one? I checked the article at Riff and it doesn't actually mention anything about Dancing Slow except to embed the music video for it.

My thought was perhaps it was a special version for some other store. For instance, I remember there being special versions of some of her smaller albums for Target and whatnot, but I'm not seeing anything straight away just yet.  Maybe the vinyl version might have something, too.  I feel like I'll have to play a guessing game with this one.

Didn't see Target listing any bonus tracks or promoting a Target exclusive of the album. It's also not being sold in stores either, seems It's an online only item.

The weirdest thing about all this is that in the liner notes and the back of the CD it says Train so there was definitely a screw up here

I just got the signed CD today, and same thing… no Train, no bonus tracks.

MONSTER!!! Hahaha, JK! There’s nothing wrong with Prolonging the Magic - which happens to be a fun Cake album.

I have some thoughts, and some faves!
While I know she was trying to put a new ‘spin’ on this album, I find some of the songs reminiscent of old school Jewel, which I love, like ‘When you Loved Me’ and ‘Half-life’. ‘Almost’ reminds me of ‘Passing Time’ every time I hear it, and I love that song! Also really digging Alibis (very catchy) and Long Way Round (love the chorus especially).
All in all a really solid album

Finally we get to hear it! I'll be honest, I was worried how this would sound after listening to Maggie Rogers version. I wasn't sure how Jewel would sound on the chorus, but I love this cover!

I'm waiting to get the cd (and the LP) when it releases in Europe. I'm afraid we will have the "right" version from the start.

I skip Half Life

I didn't skip Half Life this time and regretted it. But man, Almost is even better after the admittence that it was accidentally based on Silent All These Years.
