So, I'm soooo out of the loop Jewel wise.

Has anything exciting happened?

Does she have any, like, actual music on the horizon? Like, an album with songs on it we can listen to? I sometimes get the feeling she is kinda done with recording proper albums and that makes me sad.

Nope. I have kinda picked up on this with her and other artists, too. Like... Alanis, Fiona, Lorde, Taylor, Tori, and Adele... among many many others. It's like now that the money is gone from the music industry all of the art just kind of went *poof*, too. It kind of makes me wonder if any of it was ever genuine or just people working through a profit formula.

I might be crazy here, but I thought she was writing a new album? Where did I hear this, you ask? I really can't remember... maybe during a performance of some obscure song I saw posted here. Anyone?

Unfortunately, I get the feeling Picking Up The Pieces was it. I hope I’m wrong. Maybe she’ll get bored in another 5 or 10 years and release something new. I can hope.

I always tell my wife that the song Mercy is proof she can still do it and chooses not to. Then I call her a derogatory term

Knew it! She posts a lot on her IG story and states there she is writing a lot.... so this is great news!
