Just got back from the show tonight in Cerritos. My God she was so awesome! Of course I would have loved to hear more of her originals but she really does knock the Christmas songs out of the park. Of all the artists I've seen live there's just no one that matches Jewel's voice. A great show! Only disappointment is the set list wasn't as good as other nights on the tour before this. Only got Hands, YWMFM, Foolish Games, WWSYS and My Father's Daughter. I was hopeful for something like Standing Still or Down So Long like other shows the last few nights. Or LIFE UNCOMMON... how awesome would that have been? Oh well. Hopefully next time
And as far as the Jewel related merch goes - there were a few cool holiday tour shirts (one that had a picture of her and the family with the dates on the back that I almost bought but decided not to), sweatshirts, her book, and really overpriced CDs that we all already have. I feel bad for the person that buys Joy or Let It Snow for $20 when you can get them much cheaper elsewhere (and it wasn't even the bonus track version).
I was thinking of trying to catch an east coast show - New Jersey or New York. Not sure yet but I'd definitely love to. Two Jewel shows in one month sounds great to me. But really this just has me dying for another non-holiday show. When is she touring again?
