I love how the little spoken word poetry bits of these sound almost like they're studio masters the way the entire crowd goes deafeningly silent.

I think they are studio masters. They dim the lights and the audio comes through, and it sounds a bit different from when she's talking at the show. The shows have been opening with a reading of the poem from the Picking Up the Pieces liner notes, then Jewel comes on stage to sing SOtR.

Anyone notice there have been no additions to the Tunes On Tour side re: shows?

I really want to buy one that includes Pretty Faced Fool.

I could be wrong, but I thought I saw somewhere that it takes about a month before they're added.  I also think they add all the shows from a particular month at once.

Yeah, I keep checking. The 3/19 show was added almost immediately, but there's been nothing since then... :(

I bought one of the earlier shows, by just going to the Jewel store that Jess posted the link for.  I didn't have to register for an account or anything.  I was able to purchase and download through Paypal.

At the shows, at the merch table, they're selling a CD sleeve with the Tunes on Tour logo, signed by Jewel.  It's $20 for the sleeve, which has a download code on the back. According to the sleeve that I bought at the Bethlehem Show, the download will expire in 30 days after posting to Tunes on Tour.  Allow 7-10 days for posting, most available in 2-3 days.  I had to set up an account for this, and the Bethlehem show, is not up yet.  Maybe they decided not to post any more shows to the store.  Only if you go to the live.  I honestly, have no clue.  I was surprised to see the sleeves.  I'm glad I decided to go into the merch room.  Initially, I wasn't going to bother.

Tunes on Tour site

If you create an account (free) & sign in, today in the Artist drop-down menu it shows Jewel (42) with 42 different shows available. Today the newest available are the 3 North Carolina shows (17, 18, 19 March). They can be accessed at bottom of Homepage in the New For April-Jewel all are $20.00.

The list of shows (42) includes the Greatest Hits Tour Shows (2013), also $20.00 each. Descriptions of each show includes the playlist.  :bump:

Pick out the shows with some of your favorites that have not made it to album release outside of EDA show bootlegs or personally attended events.  :music:

She played, See Sassy, on her New Blue (Taylor).  It has a deeper sound than the 912.  I loved it!

QUESTION:
Is anyone else buying more than one show and putting it in iTunes?  I had another show and it merged them both together as one album - since they're all encoded with the same album name.  I'm wondering if I have to hand sort all this, or if I can just change something before imporing the file to iTunes.  I did try, but lately, me and technology  :ragecomp:  Thanks.

Ah, that sucks.  The upside is, windows makes it easy to fix - just highlight all, right click, go to properties, then Details tab and change the name to add the city it was in.

I could swear the GH tour got this one right.

I did.  Jewel, is just as amazing as she was 20 years ago.  Maybe more-so, if that's possible.

ANOTHER QUESTION for the STUPID (me):
When I downloaded the concert that I purchased at the concert, it said 4 more downloads available - can I download it 4 more times?  I don't know that I have use for that...anyone know?

By the way, I'm listening to the concert I went to - and boy did they do a lot to equalize the audio.  The crowd was freakin' nuts and you can't really tell.

I usually re-title the album name for the tracks. You can do it for several tracks at a time. It's easier if you add them one album at a time and retitle the album before adding another.

To fix your issue, you should be able to sort by date added in iTunes to figure out which album is which. Then rename them appropriately. You can select multiple treks by using the control or shift keys. For control clicking, you have to select each one. For shift, click the first track in the list, then hold down the shift key on your keyboard and click the list track. That should highlight all tracks tracks between them. Then right click and select get info, I think and type a new album name with the date.

Yes, that means you can download it 4 more times. I think the extra downloads are in case you lose the copy you downloaded? Hard drive crash, etc? I dunno.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  You're always a font of knowledge, wikiman.

I don't use iTunes often enough anymore, to stay on top of how the endless updates work.  I made a playlist and pulled them out manually.  I love my iPod (classic  :grandma:) - I loathe, iTunes.

Curious about the extra downloads.  I do back-ups, weekly.  I wish I could use them for other available shows.  Can other people use the download code with their own log-on ?  I mean, I already paid for them...

That SUCKS! :( It's not available for purchase yet, either.  I'll probably buy it when it's available and if you still can't get it by then, I will share a copy with you.

I hope they get back with you on it soon!
