He's pretty much the classic Career Journeyman Backup QB. It's a really sweet gig, actually. You get to be in the NFL, but rarely even have to wash the uniform! And boo-boos are kept to a minimum.

Not a fan of the man bun either...the only exception for me is Clarence Greenwood of Citizen Cope. He's got dreads and has been doing the bun before it "in." He's just a stoner who can pull it off.

I haven't watched anything NFL related in years.  Last "game" I watched was that Frontline special where the commissioner kept denying there was any negative health impact on the players regardless of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. When he finally got cornered on it, he deflected with some nonsense about new helmet designs, completely ignoring the real problem at hand.  It was a pretty good mental gymnastics tournament.

I had a dinner party last weekend and one of my friends was so obsessed with  some stupid football game, she ruined the whole gathering with a blaring TV and ridiculous drunken yelling. No one else cared about the stupid game, but no one wanted to be rude to her because she got her cable cut and everyone knows some peoples' obsession with the stupid sport is so important to them they'll literally have a fit if they don't get to see it.

Cleveland lost their QB to injury today (that's the third one so far) so the coach took Jesus' Clipboard and placed a crown of thorns Browns' helmet on his head.

He played most of the game, wasn't terrible, actually led a touchdown drive and threw some nice passes. And then he hurt his knee, too. It's the Browns, though, so they got reamed by the New England Bradys anyway.

Not a football fan, but the Browns suck.  He never really got a fair shake, sacked twice and did well for what he played.  Especially considering he finished the game injured.  Hope he starts next week and gets to show us what he can do.
