I'm really not dedicated...I just need to keep my mind active, lately.  I used to play drums, but after sitting all day my body was too tired.  So, I switched to guitar.  Plus, I broke my ankle a few years ago, so my bass is a little slow. :grandma:  And the parrot - LOVES guitar.  He loved drums too, though.  Kinda funny he has his own taste in music....and we don't always agree.
:tongue2:

Like the way you observe things around you, i.e. notice your parrots reaction to your playing.

Hard to ignore when he yells; "you suck."  He has my sense of humour.  Which is both entertaining and unfortunate. :rofl2:

You're awesome.  I'm going to call this song "I Can't Play F" from now on.   :blueguitar: :rofl2:

 :that:

I have no patience to learn the F chord. There's several Jewel songs that don't have it... so I concentrate on those.
I figure she started out writing songs when she barely knew how to play guitar.. some of her early ones are likely some of her easiest for that reason, like WWSYS, Don't, etc.

3 hours??? How do you sit for that long... my back gets sore after an hour!  :indifferent:

If you roll your finger a bit so you are barring with the side rather than full-on front, it's easier. Also it's easier to barre if you are capo'd up a fret or two. Sometimes I will down-tune my strings 1/2 step so I can capo on one to get standard tuning to barre the F easier.  On a side note, if your guitar is not set up properly. barre chords are pretty tough.

The other alternative is to move the key up or down to eliminate the barre. I tend to try and move everything to the key of G because I sing best there. C is fine too. If the song starts with a D chord, if I'm not tuned down a 1/2 step, I feel like I'm channeling Elmo.
