There was a guy was with his daughter in McDonalds and they sit down next to me... like just at a table. And, I smiled at her. Because, of course I did. I offered her some of my fries. I gave her some fries. I'm not a good person. But, what kind of psychopath doesn't smile at a child? At a little girl? We can all be kind to each other. It's nice to see Jewel be a kind person.

There's a darkness to this interview if you're read the books.
