Title: Grey Matter

Can't find this post anywhere and maybe it was on some life online interview feed where we could type questions and she would answer but I'm trying to find her response to me on who Grey Matter was written for.  She replied back...it was written for the same person as XXXX song was written for.  But I can't remember which song she quoted.  Was it- Foolish games or Carnivore?
Who do you think Grey Matter is written about?  Mom?

Grey Matter was before the fallout with her mom, so I doubt it was about her. Not sure which reply you mean though. I'd be interested, too!

Ah- you are right on timing.  I think it was a live q&a feed and I'm 99.9% positive she told me it was written for the same person Foolish games was written for.  Who do we think it was written for?

I don't think Foolish Games is about anyone specific, but rather an attempt to pay homage to Famous Blue Raincoat by Leonard Cohen.  You can really hear it in the acoustic versions

That is a really nice thought and discovery. Not sure if it really is, buthearing these both version it just might. What a great musical ear you have.
