Title: the Kilcher Country store in Homer, AK doesn't sell Jewel albums

Basically my biggest takeaway from visiting that town. They don't love Jewel in Homer. No wonder she doesn't play there.

Were the selling other family member's music or did they just snub Jewel?

They were selling all the other family member's albums, yes, but not a single Jewel record.  Behind the counter, there was a small 8x11 advert for Jewel's Vegas show with Cirque Du Soliel or whatever and that was it for the whole thing.  It's like she barely existed. 

I also learned that Jewel was a driving force behind those people getting their ATLF show on Discovery.

I mean, it's cool I guess, they want their own identity separate from hers (??) but as I said in the store, if I had a multi-platinum selling rock star in my family, I'd showcase her a bit in my family's dedicated gift shop.  Maybe that's just me.  :shrug:

That being said, I saw lots of Tom Bodett stuff all over Homer so at least the town loves him.  He deserves it. <3
