Post by: addictedsober on November 26, 2018, 05:30:58 PM
Hey guys, a friend of mine brought to my attention this listing that appears to have a few demos recorded for Goodbye Alice in Wonderland

What do you think? https://www.discogs.com/Jewel-Jewel/release/12857085

Your friend is on top of things! That was just submitted 3 hours ago...lol

I haven't heard of this, but looks very cool! Hope to find a way to listen sometime!

seems pretty cool
i wonder how those songs from GAIW sound as it says they are stripped demos... and the album versions were kinda overproduced imo

I contacted the person about this. They wanted $500 for it! I think that was a little high...I don't see it being worth that much, even with as much fo a hardcore collector as I am. Hopefully whoever ends up with it will share the recordings. :)

i contacted the user as well... said the same thing
maybe if there are other people interested, we could gather together and each can chip in some money so its not that expensive
we used to do that on a Spice Girls forum... and we got a few things
just a suggestion though

This person is on crack.

We would need like 20+ people chipping in for this to be a reasonable price for each of us.

We heard First Last Time and it was pretty obvious why it didn't make the record.

Fox and the Grapes is also my favorite of Aesop's Fables.

Well it was maybe not the best Jewel song I've ever heard to put it politely.

Just love discogs... this one is on my wantlist to. But no way I would even pay anything near that price. I still have to add a few items from Jewel to discogs. got over 100 different items. but only reasonable prices. Could get my hands on a cassette from the coffe house days (already mentiones in another thread) for €65,- .... probaply a good price, but I will never listen to it because I don't have a cassette-player. for €25 I might have considered it.
