I just typed up the lyrics...I'm not sure about the line I have bolded. Thoughts?
You wonder how true love goes
No one can say, 'cause nobody knows
Nobody knows
Like rain on a rock, like a leaf in the air
There's no way to tell, but it's going somewhere
But where? Nobody knows
It's heart on heart, soul on soul,
Body on body is how it goes
Heart on heart, soul on soul,
Body on body is all it knows
Body on body
You wonder what true love knows
No one can say how it goes
It just flows
It don't make sense, it's like a midnight sun
And one on one, there's only one
When you're in its throes
It's heart on heart, soul on soul,
Body on body is how it goes
Heart on heart, soul on soul,
Body on body is all it knows
Body on body
So lay yourself next to me
You be the stone, and I will be the sea
No space, no time
Lost inside a larger mind
Heart on heart, soul on soul,
Body on body is how it goes
Heart on heart, soul on soul,
Body on body is all it knows
Heart on heart, soul on soul,
Body on body is how it goes
Heart on heart, soul on soul,
Body on body is all it knows
Body on
Body on body
Soul on soul
Touching souls
Body on body

Bolded what I think are the minor changes.
God I love this song. Listening to it right now, it's so damn good. I really haven't listened to anything else since Friday. Spent entire rides to and from work with this on repeat. I think it's awesome, and Jewel sounds amazing on it. Beautiful music, beautiful lyrics, beautiful voice. Love everything about this song.
I wonder what parts were Johnny and which were Jewel. It fits right in with the rest of her catalog.
Man is she brilliant. This is one of my favorite songs released in a while.

Found the original poem... bolded are the lines Jewel added

I love what she did with this so much. Great song

Nice find, Trevor! I think it's funny that the midnight sun line wasn't her...

I would believe it if someone had told me she wrote the whole thing! What a perfect poem for Jewel to put to music.
I love Johnny Cash, but everything is better when it's Jewel singing it. :D

Great find indeed!
I really like this song. The whole record was pretty solid I thought.

I'll have to give it another listen. I didn't listen to the whole thing until yesterday... I was pretty stuck on track 9. Nothing jumped out to me like Jewel's, I thought it was by far the best one and I'd like to think I'm not letting my personal bias for Jewel get in the way here, I really do think it was the best. :P
I liked Chris Cornell's song, though

Could anyone tab this one?
-
Yeah, I can probably figure this one out. Seems pretty easy.
-
Bought the album on vinyl, got time to wash the record yesterday but haven't listen to it yet. Hope to have some real listen time within a few weeks. looking forward to it.
-
Serious question - are you supposed to wash records before you play them? If this is a dumb question, then I apologize. I've never heard of that.
-
No, you're not supposed to. And not necessary for every time you spin them.
a lot of collector's only wash second hand records before they play it for the first time. I do that with new records also. During the production process the record can get some oil residu from the machine's, I don't want that on my record or on the stylus (is that the right word?) of my turntable. Extra reason to wash it, it helps to become anti static.
I'm a bit of a nerd, all my record get new anti-static inner sleeves and a plastic sleeve around the cover. This way they stay as new for a very long time. and the original inner sleeves stay as new as well
-
Good to know! I had never thought of it to be honest.

I'm surprised at how few lines she actually added! I thought the chorus was all her!
