So this is kind of tangential Jewel news....

But, Ang Lee (Ride w/ The Devil) is getting honored in ptown.
Bastard is *sooo* lucky Jewel made him a star! ;)

I get the sarcasm, although, it's kind of true. The movie, is not good. Jewel, was better than it allowed for. Thought that then, still think it now.

Yeah. She did an amazing job in that movie. I didn't have high hopes for it... but it was great. Tobey Maguire was incredible in it, too. I became a fan of his after watching that movie. I think it really helped her kind of playing opposite him because he is just so talented.
I actually have that movie on DVD some place... it's one of the few I kept around after the world switched to Amazon and Netflix.

RWTD one of my good friend's favorite movies. He's particularly fond of Jewel's line, "Does this look muley to you?"
When I met Jewel at the Soiree, I asked her to sign a DVD of it and write "Dear Bob: Does this look muley to you?" on it with her autograph. She had a giggle at it and my homie was so stoked. He displays it with pride.

OK, I'm looking for "Ride With the Devil," never saw it now I want to. :boycomp:
