Lewis Feild was already an icon before Jewel wrote her song “Run Out of Road,” which referenced Ty Murray’s friend Lew. On Sunday in AT&T Stadium, the great Feild, who recently succumbed to cancer, was memorialized with a special recording made by Jewel, and images that captured the championship way he lived his life and rode his broncs and, simply cowboyed. TIL Ty co-wrote this song.  I guess I should have already known that, but I didn't!  :o

What a nice tribute to Lewie Feild! So special to play the song Ty helped write about Lew, his hero! He sure is missed #TheAmerican

I remember Jewel saying they wrote it about Lew together. Bad EDA!  :P
