Just so it's posted in the proper place, I'm going to this show with my boyfriend and a friend from college who likes Jewel (not a crazy person like us, but you know). . . But it'd be fun to meet up for dinner / drinks before the show if anyone has time! I know a few cool places not far from downtown. =)
-
I'll be there! I'll get in touch closer to the show to see if meeting up prior to the show works for us :)
-
Peeeerfect!
-
I wonder if Jewel has done a show in Delaware before. I've never seen one in the Jewelwiki and trust me, I've looked hard.
I don't want to type this too loudly, but I also wonder if she knows that Poltz came here last year and immediately had a mini-stroke! :hide:
Our tickets are in hand (Since January)!!! Row H, far left side as you face the stage.
-
Hmmm...idk if she's ever done DE either. Interesting. We'll be there for history in the making! I don't know my seats yet. I find out when I get there.
-
I thought maybe Delaware was maybe just a place I'd missed when adding shows to the wiki. Didn't find any in the Smoe.org archives, either. Maybe this will be her first show there! Only Alan would know for sure (I don't even know if Jewel would know! :P)
The new wiki will let you click on a state and see all the times she has appeared there so finding stuff like this will be easier! (See New Jersey (http://www.jewelwiki.com/w/index.php?title=NJ) compared to Delaware (http://www.jewelwiki.com/w/index.php?title=DE)). I'm still working through transferring each show to the new format, going backwards in time. I'm at 2005 right now, so the heavy touring around Spirit and This Way aren't listed yet. Stay tuned :)

My seats are C 103, 104, and 105. Center of the 3rd row, essentially. I'm so excited! I tweeted her a few requests this morning... we'll see if she's feeling up to them.
And I could easily see this being the first DE show. What with Baltimore and Philly being so close, poor little Delaware is often skipped.
-
All good requests - you have a chance at getting them, Matt!!
-
Tonight's the night! I don't know where my seats are yet. I find out when I get there.
I have managed to avoid seeing pics, vids and set lists for this tour so far. I don't want to know anything so it's all fresh and new for me tonight. Now what to wear...it's crappy weather here .

Share your request tweets in this thread, maybe we can RT them!

It'll be kind of cool and rainy for sure. We're planning to park in one of the garages on Orange St, behind the duPont building, so we'll have to walk about a block to the entrance on Market St. Hopefully it isn't a downpour!
That whole "no spoilers" plan is interesting...too late for me though; we've looked at every video and picture that we could, to sort of know what to expect.

Damnit! We missed meeting Sandy and Matt. 95% certain we saw her in the aisle right as the show was starting and we were already seated but I'm kind of leery of accosting women to ask their names...
Georgianna asked me to call her real quick to see if it was her and I hesitated, so she did it herself! She left a voicemail. Side note: I was feeling a little sorry for Sandy when she said here that she'd find out where her tickets were at the box office. I figured she'd be stuck in the balcony or something, but as the show started she (if it was Sandy we saw) skittered right down to the first row!! I didn't feel sorry anymore.
Also pretty sure we saw Matt at the merch counter after the show, across from the crush of people exiting. I guess we'll find out.
We loved the show! Jewel started MFD with the second verse and then stopped and joked about it...classic Jewel. And she did the "Can someone Google the lyrics to I'm Sensitive" thing, same as she did in DC, and no one did!! We're slackers here...
Georgianna got some pics, until the Gestapo arrived and took her away!! :wtf:
I might be kidding. The usher actually tapped on her shoulder and said, "You can't do that".

Tennessee plates...I guess this is her tour bus?

Yes! That was me in the front row. My friend said "well this doesn't suck." I'm so sorry to have missed you guys! I didn't even listen to the vm until I got home. I honestly don't think I even knew someone had called. There wasn't an opportunity to hear anything on my phone from the M&G to the show to the crowds and going out after. I should have texted you again after the show. I was so caught up chatting with Amy and her husband and then meeting up with Matt and his friends at a bar. The whole night got away from me. I suck.
I got some great pics, too.
I googled I'm Sensitive and had it ready for her...she did ok with ppl yelling out lyrics.
-
Ahh! I was at the merch booth at he end of the show, but I was hustling around since I was trying to buy the show, plus I had my friends go get my car... Darn, I wish we had gotten the chance to say Hey!
I liked the show, though she wasn't in the mood to play anything to crazy as far as requests go. I yelled for Think I'm Falling and she was like "Yeah, I heard I Think Im Falling..." So she ended up playing I'm Sensitive. I was just happy cause I get to yell her the lyrics, and I actually got them right without looking it up! I can't wait to hear the recording and be like "THAT WAS ME!" Foolish Games sounded extra good to me for some reason, but maybe it was more my mood or that of the place.

Thanks for posting some pics, Randy!!
