I saw this too. Of course there was the ever famous Jewel spelling error...    :)

I think they are internet radio stations? Maybe something like this can be found on Sirius?

Hmmm, I wonder which of these are in Phoenix. 

I haven't called and requested a song on the radio in over 15 years - I doubt that I actually would now, but maybe if I had a few drinks in me....

I hear Two Heart Breaking every now and then on Sirius...The Blend. Always surprises me. Most people I know only listen to satellite radio now.

I guess Americana is kind of an Island of Misfit Singer/Songwriters, historically right in Jewel's wheelhouse. We'll see...

I don't know what an Americana station is.

They should service this to Adult Contemporary stations.

We don't have an Americana station here in the wild wild west, so looks like there won't be much MFD airplay before the show.

Better than nothing since  I wasn't even expecting there to be a single. I never heard of an Americana station so I have no idea where this will even get airplay. Otherwise I'd start calling to request.

They should've sent it to country stations. Dolly is a country singer, after all, so it still works.

Had a great time shooting my video for My Fathers Daughter. Was so fun to have my son on set with me. Tom Campbell directing.

I gotta say, for the first time in a long time, Jewel looks happy in those pics.

They could film Dolly separately and through the magic of editing, make it seemless.  Saves prod costs.  Still, if she was important enough to be on the album, hopefully, Jewel got to do a shoot with her.  There is a strange magic that happens during shoots.  It's awesome.

I was thinking that she should release the rest of the Pretty Faced Fool studio footage as a video.  Bigger commercial appeal, broader fan base (Kip Moore) and could bring the album attention it deserves  :pray:  Plus, sine it's already filmed - low to no prod costs.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. I was actually surprised they didn't fully release Pretty Faced Fool first just because it would seem to appeal to more people. But then I guess you could say the same with the country crowd with Dolly, so, it works either way, I suppose. :)

Yeah,  I think I'd be more excited for Pretty faced fool or "plane" Jane than My Fathers Daughter. Something about MFD is too like . . Personal, yet unrelatable as a single. The others had stronger qualities I think. We'll see how it plays out, tho!

I thought MFD, works well for an official live show.  It's better acoustic.  I like "some" Dolly, but this just didn't work for me.  It's recorded and produced well.  That's about all I got.

I heard Jewel say that she wrote this song (in the AOL liveshow) but I thought I read here somewhere that somebody else wrote it for her? Am I confused with another song or...?

My Father's Daughter was co-written by Jewel and Lisa Carver, Pretty Faced Fool was written by Kip Moore and 2 other guys. Maybe that's what confused you? :)
