Ok....so here was the set list...I am not including Shawn's set list but he sang Lullaby (90's hit), My Stupid Heart (great song) and Ferguson (great song) along with a few others. Carolina Jones opened the show. Not a 100% positive on order...but 90% positive. but these were all the songs. It was cool to hear plain jain live as well as river.
1. RIVER by JONI MITCHELL w/ Shawn Mullins
2. CARNIVORE
3. HERE WHEN GONE
4. MY FATHER'S DAUGHTER
5. PLAIN JAIN
6. HANDS
7. MERCY
8. HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY CHRISTMAS w/Shawn Mullins

Sounds like a great show. I entered the Sirius-XM contest but was not a winner.
I searched for the show on line to buy tickets, but was unsuccessful.
Was this a private party/performance? Thanks for any info.
I saw Jewel at the Book signing for "Never Broken" in Birmingham in September, she performed three songs, took questions, and autographed our books. It was wonderful, there were about 100 in the audience.
Would love to see a full acoustic show. I am in Huntsville, Al. so close to Nashville.

Listening to the Sirius-XM "Let it Snow" Acoustic show from the Coffee House (Ch 14), Carolyn Jones is on now 4:15 pm CST. :music:
Jewel is coming on soon :jewelsmilie: :blueguitar:
*Note available on (On Demand) and replaying "live" on line this evening at 8:00 pm EST

Ah, I wish I could hear it!!

This show is wonderful, Jewel & Shawn interact with the small audience all through the show. :jewelsmilie:
Jewel asked for fingernail clippers before playing Carnivore.
While tuning up for Plain Jane, she just talked with a lady in audience, "well now you know the real Me" priceless!! :flower:
"Hands" lead in was classic with "apparently carrots are the gateway food for grocery shoplifting,"
Mercy, her passion & range bring tears, once more. :crying:
"Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" Jewel & Shawn, (Jewel Rocked it a little) (Jewel did at line as Kermit from muppets, ref: discussion with Shawn about Muppet Christmas Special with John Denver, 1976 or '77).

Thanks Joe!

Ha! I could tell from the pics. She's done that at a few concerts!
Jewel did a line as Kermit from muppets
We know she's good at imitating kermit. :flower:

Thanks, Linda!!!

Jewel keeps playing riffs from Unsung in Your Eyes (wrongly named Unsung in Your Arms in my files ... tsk tsk) throughout this show in between songs. I wonder if that one's making a comeback :fun:

I hope it's made LONGER. This is one of my altogether favorites!

Agree with the other EDAs, it needs another verse or two with a cleaver wrap or closing, beautiful melody and lyric makes you want more story. :music:
come on Jewel :jewelsmilie: :blueguitar:

I just got a chance to listen to all of this.
The Dolly Parton guitar thing cracked me up. I like more Dolly Parton than I realized. I knew exactly what Jewel was talking about with the nail thing, and it made me laugh harder. I figured most people don't know much about Dolly, or that she even plays the guitar (quite well), so I thought I would plop this video here. I always thought when Jewel went country, she changed her voice and inflection on certain words to sound more like Dolly. Perfect example is when she sings the line "the kind of woman I'd want my daughter to be" in Stronger Woman. :w Just babbling while I have my coffee. Hope someone enjoys this. I lust love watching the way different people play guitar. Hopefully, I can also get the video to embed right, as I usually only manage that 50% of the time.
