I guess it makes sense that a certain ... crowd ... would have missed the NBA All Star performance, but that same crowd has taken to social media in droves to whinge to all five of their followers and Fox News about how offended they are by this performance of The Star Spangled Banner.

It's so stupid, I'd think it was astroturfing if I could just find a logical reason for it.

But, as George Carlin said: “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

I agree. That's nonsense. She did fine. I even liked it better than the NBA performance.

Their butthurt is all over that video's comments. I hope Jewel isn't bothered by it. I really dig her folksy take on the song. And as a person who has put themselves out there to get judged on their performance of this song, my opinion matters more than Bubba's from some Carolina somewhere.

I suppose that, technically, they do have brains, since they're breathing and typing and all, but... whether or not they have any intellect in those brains is another matter altogether.

Personally, IDGAF about the song. It means nothing to me. Like Chris, I was more taken by the fact that she wasn't playing a Taylor than anything else.
