I think every song from my list can be found there, but if there's something you can't find there, just write, I'll post it
-
Than you you are so kind. , the only one I cant find is " EVERYONE NEEDS SOMEONE TO LOVR"
-
I'd call it Memoirs of a Housewife and maybe there'd have to be some changes to the songs below, but it'd be dope if it was kind of a concept album type-thing that told a story.
01. Star Child
02. Afraid It's Too Late
03. See Sassy
04. Hotel Angel
05. Totally Tupperware (Memoirs of a Housewife)
06. Marital Carnival
07. Housewife's Revenge
08. Train Song
09. If This is What Love Is
10. Single Mom
11. 501 Beauty Queen

This album is perfection, Jess!
-
I like it Jessica .
-
Aww, thanks, guys!
-
Unbelievable you made this theme and came up with all these songs Jess. I love the creativity.
-
I was thinking surely there's a song you've missed that should be included, but I really think it's perfection. Maybe a band version of Carnivore? lol
-
I thought of tossing Silver Satin Wings in between Train Song and If This is What Love Is. It'd be in there as a song for "getting back out there!" or whatever awful advice divorcees get, lol, but it's too similar to See Sassy. But then I thought it'd be good as a statement that many of us just repeat the same dumb mistakes. Anyway, I ultimately settled on leaving it out, but I liked it both ways.
A couple already existing album tracks would fit great, but I veered away from those.

Thanks, homie. :)

I think having a previously released song is par for the course at this point? I think each album since GAIW has had one song previously released. Let's see...
GAIW – Fragile Heart (0304)
Perfectly Clear – Two Become One (0304)
Lullaby – Angel Standing By (POY), Gloria (Joy), Over the Rainbow (Wizard of Oz in concert)
Sweet and Wild – Stay Here Forever (Valentine's Day Soundtrack released several months prior to the album); Fading would've likely been on "Fritz Creek Store"
Merry Goes Round – I've got nothing here. Guess I skipped it in my head.
Picking Up the Pieces – Everything Breaks (Foolish Games B-side); The Shape of You was released as it's own song in 2010
Freewheelin' Woman – No More Tears from Lost in America Soundtrack.
So if you could include a previously released song on the album Totally Tupperware, what would you include?
-
By that logic, See Sassy is on here from POY 25. Anything I think of now seems redundant. I think it's alright the way it is, but I'm certainly open to suggestions!
I guess I was thinking like Almost or something like that, but I prefer Train song honestly. It's the better "wah wah poor me" song I think. I don't want to linger too much on the break up section of the record, know what I mean?
-
Didn't even think about See Sassy! Good point! Sassy on EDA Radio is a good version, too...Beginnings was maybe one of my favorite surprises. I want this album now, Jess :rofl2:
As for Train Song, it's one of my faves.
the children we named and now we'll never have
-
I think about that one a lot. I think it's in the same guitar tuning as Last Dance Rodeo and Jupiter. I wish I had a recording of it in concert so I had a hint what was before/after it, but I just have the one-off from that compilation album.
And I LOVE that See Sassy! I think it's better than the demo ones :hide: That Beginnings was such a cool surprise when it came out.
-
The more I think about it, the more I want to take OUT Single Mom...
-
I think about [Train Song] a lot. I think it's in the same guitar tuning as Last Dance Rodeo and Jupiter.
Nevermind it's totally just open D
-
I love that you went and figured it out lol
-
Dude it's actually hella easy which means maybe Jewel can still do it! I just need to write it down.
-
Let's bring it back!! :thomdance:
-
I really need a "like button" in this forum

I really need a "like button" in this forum
I looked into it and it's above my pay grade  I'm just not smart enough.
-
LOL, well if I had to choose between the very difficult Like-Button and the too easy Angelfood Radio, the choice is easy... ;)

I'm in the process of making a playlist of Jess's album from my library. When I went to add Afraid It's Too Late, I noticed Jess used the version from the 4/7/1994 Innerchange show. I noticed that the version I have from Innerchange Days is slightly shorter; I had always assumed it was the same version, but they're definitely different. You can hear the difference in the first lyric – sits vs stands at the window. I have no clue when the Innerchange Days performance came from. 🤔
My copy of Innerchange Days is uploaded to my YouTube Music and I can't figure out how to download it to post here; I thought I had the download in my offline collection but I'm having trouble locating it.
-
Correct! They're pretty equal in quality, but the Innerchange Days one is more .... popular? so I went with the other. But that's all I have are these two. I was pretty stoked when that new one popped up!
-
